This site showcases some of the paintings I have produced in the last 14 years. All paintings are watercolor/acrylic on paper.

Paintings which are for sale are marked [Available]. Clicking on any painting will display a larger image, along with the price (if it is available for sale). If you are interested in purchasing a painting, please click on "Contact the Artist" and send me an email message.

For some thoughts on my art and process, see my Artist Statement.

For the last several years, I have been also been pursuing my interest in writing and recording music. To hear some of the results, click on the Music link to the left.

I have three new songs in the Music section.
  • "driftlight (Part 1)": This piece features harmonized flute lines with guitar backing.

  • "Little Compton Summer Sunrise": My friend George Peabody wrote and recorded this as a solo acoustic guitar piece. As an experiment, I decided that I would try to add some accompanying instruments.

  • "SnakeMelter": This is an "in progress" idea, an electric, slide guitar-driven song with a sinuous funk-based bass line.

In painting news, every Autumn, to mark the changing of the season, I create a painting that is based on an image of autumn leaves. "Autumn Blaze" is the painting for 2007:
"Autumn Blaze"

The vein details on the leaf itself and in the "fire burst" area behind it were created by pressing actual leaves into wet paint, letting the paint dry to form an impression, then removing the leaves.
